This is another pretty wonderful found after the surprise at the fruit stall I had, after the legendary cup jelly aunty did a no show. This is a street stall appear only in the evening and selling drinks and dessert, and they are selling fried dough (you tiao in Mandarin) too.
This evening street stall is run by 2 ladies; guess they should be mother and daughter partner. And they serve main hot drinks or dessert drinks. You pick either hot fresh milk or hot soy bean from either huge pot at the stall. I would like to try their hot fresh milk but tummy wasn’t great on that evening, so I opt for hot soy bean just like my partner. I added basil seed, pearl ball, jelly, atap seed and bailey into my hot soy bean. It turns out pretty much an interesting concoction of hot dessert drink, with a spoonful of it into my mouth. The flavor of soy bean mixed with other basil seed, jelly, pearl ball, atap seed and bailey created a unique taste. It has the aroma of soy bean, the crunchiness of basil seed, the chewiness of bailey, jelly, atap seed and pearl ball. Everything just run riot in your mouth as you chew the fusion of all ingredients.
It was a wonderful and affordable treat to end my night of food hunt in Chiang Mai. I am loving it.
