This is a coffee shop serving hot tea and coffee with hot fresh milk, and you cant find it anywhere else in Bangkok. Beside the usual coffee and tea, they also serve Thai style fried dough which is mini in size compare to Singapore’s version of fried dough. The Thai style fried dough is about 10cm long and comes in a pair.
This coffee shop is run by an old couple but they are slowly passing the baton to their son. My 1st visit was in 2012 and has been there 3 times in the past 5 years, and witnessing their little boy grow up. The shop is not big and only have a hand full of seats and tables. I particularly like both their hot tea with fresh milk and fried dough.
The hot tea with fresh milk has a lingering tea leave aromatic when it serve hot. The 1st taste is always the best as your taste bud is attack by the aromatic fresh milk. And as you carry on with the 2nd and 3rd taste, you get to experience the smoothness of their tea which is very important in tea drinking in my opinion. The tea is mild sweet so it wont overpower the taste of tea leave.
Now come to the fried dough. They don’t fried too many at a time to ensure the freshness of fried dough is maintain, so you get to eat the hot fresh fried dough and not the cold fried dough. They fried it to little gold brown and i like the texture very much. The bite is crispy outside and soft inside, it wont stick to your teeth when you chew on it.
This is good place to take a break after your morning rush to sample yummy food along the street. Hop in for a good rest before you carry on with the rest of your day within Bangkok. NICE.
