This quiet little street came into light few years ago, after some delicious food was discovered within the street. And you need to go back to the street a few time to sample all those finger leaking good food.
This shop was one of those yummy food that off the radar and she is serving good noodle and the local called it Hainanese Noodles, they use Udon as their main serving of noodle in both dry and soup version. Run by 3rd generation Thai Chinese and I witness the owner taking time to prepare each bowl, and she is not in the rush to cook it and it show she take cooking seriously… even it is just a bowl of “Udon”
I was there in the afternoon a little pass closing time and the lady still glad to serve me the “Udon”. This simple bowl of “Udon” soup was so pleasant to look at, and I was so ready to tuck in. The Udon is thick, smooth and moist, it is springy too and it does not stick to your teeth. The broth is clear, light, fresh and smooth ( add sauce to spice up if you want). And it has pork intestine which is springy, silky smooth in texture and chewy on bite. The pork slice is tender and chewy too, and surprisingly the roasted pork is still crispy and crunchy despite dipping in the broth for sometime. What a wonderful bowl of Thai style Udon. A star find for me.
