Beside the famous 3 generation ChongKee Pork Sate near China Tower. This is the other legendary pork satay which located in the area of Chulalongkorn University. Do not fool by her humble simple outlook of this shop. They are actually stuff with yummy pork within.
We Singaporean like our satay by the night. But both famous Bangkok pork satay only operate during day time. And the best part is they serve pork liver satay which you can’t find it in Singapore.
The current shop is run by 2nd generation Thai Chinese, the couple is heading into their golden age but they still insist manning their restaurant to ensure the quality of their satay is maintain.
A shop I stumbled upon when I was exploring the University area. Her little run down shop front arrested my attention, and it turns out they are the famous satay in Bangkok. Especially so their pork liver satay, each slice of the pork liver is slice to the correct thickness to give it a tender and consistent texture. Each pork liver is also well seasoned as each stick I ate has the consistent taste, tender, fluffy and chewy. Best dip into their rich, creamy and silky smooth satay gravy to go with.
Their other pork satay is also prepared with well balance proportion amount of fat and lean meat to each stick. They BBQ each stick to perfection with both pork satay and pork liver satay emit an arresting aromatic smell that will capture your attention when you passing by the shop.
What do you do when the lingering aromatic smell arrest your sense of smell? Walk in and eat the satay. And the pork liver satay is a must to eat!
