Finally got to eat their satay after 3 failed attempt, they were closed when I was there 3 times.
Don’t fool by not crowd shop, they have more take away order compare to dine in customer. The shop is into their 80 plus year running. Helm by a 3rd generation Thai Chinese Cantonese couple, the lady owner is sweet, kind and polite. I got to know she is Cantonese after I chat up with her, and we click well since I am a Cantonese too.
They serve mainly pork satay, and they have pig liver satay too. Every stick is well cooked and not little charred with every meat you bite is bouncy chewy tender with well light seasoning. Was also told by the kind lady, all her satay is coated with thin layer of coconut milk to spicy up the satay with a unique flavour. Their gravy is creamily mild sweet with no MSG in it as she claimed. They don’t serve with rice but with sliced cucumber and onion in rice vinegar with added sugar and salt for some flavouring.
Such a lovely yummy finger licking good satay with endorsement from Thai Royal, go eat lah!
