There is this little road side stall in the middle of busy China town serving thai style Chwee Kway with huge huge amount of fried preserved radish (Chye poh). If you are fan of big fat chye poh (traditionally suppose to serve at this size), you will love this! And I always have a lot of chye poh on each rice cake. The taste of chye poh is mild sweet and crunchy on bite.
The different in their chwee kway?… each rice flour steam cake has a hole in middle, but that does not compromise on the taste. The bite is chewy and tender on the rice cake, and make sure you have a huge amount of chye poh on each bite to go with. Treat it as a snack on the go when you wonder around China town. And I forgot, their chilli is different from SG version and it serve with some kind of black sauce too. You can decline the black sauce if you want to.
I always eat them whenever I am in China town. Update from my recent trip in Apr 2017, the stall has improve on their service as they begin to use a proper big paper cup.
